Joanne Stephen is an independent clinician providing services to patients from MyPaeds Specialist Clinic’s suites.
Joanne is an experienced Paediatric Speech Pathologist with 12 years of experience. She has worked with a wide range of children across ages with varied learning profiles. Her particular interests lie in supporting autistic children and children with learning differences through a strength-based approach.
Joanne obtained her Masters in Speech Pathology Studies from the University of Queensland in 2011 and has recently attained a Masters of Medical Research in 2023. Joanne takes an evidence-based approach by continuously pursuing knowledge and implementing that in her therapy sessions.
She provides family and individual-centred care to ensure that the therapeutic process is well-supported. Joanne has vast experience in supporting families from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds and converses fluently in English and Mandarin.
Joanne is also a qualified ADOS-2 assessor who contributes extensively to the multidisciplinary autism assessment service available at MyPaeds.
In her spare time, she enjoys trying new cafes and visiting markets. Her favourite feel-good activities are scooter rides, drinking bubble tea and playing board games.
